This movie was one of the first ones I took with my Canon A620 digital camera that had a movie capability. I didn't know how to optimize the quality at the time but this opportunity to record our Rottweiler's first day at our home was too good to pass up. Romy, a Terrier-mix that "found us" had been in the household for a couple of years and was clearly the ALPHA DOG. When this sweet 4 month old Rottweiler met him on our back deck, you can see what happened......reminds me a a cobra attack! FAST FORWARD TO 2009: Romy is 10 and Lotty is 6. Romy is 45# and Lotty is 80#. Although they spar and play a lot, the tables have turned. Both dogs enjoy each other's company much to our delight. They greatly enhance our lives. Lotty the Rottweiler enjoys her backyard swimming pool at our Wyoming home. She likes to play "ball" but she heats up pretty fast. Black absorbs so she hops into her swimming pool to cool down. Any resemblance to Esther Williams is coincidental! |
